I. INCREASE VISIBILITY FOR PLAYWRIGHTS IN STATE AND NATION

A. Investigate publication opportunities for playwrights in journals, newspapers, etc.
B. Produce a booklet of Carolina monologues.
C. Promote playwrights via marketing piece sent to theatres and universities
D. Maintain and expand website
E. Continue building relationship with statewide organizations (NCWN, NCTC, NCAC, etc.)
F. Participate and expand Playwright-in-Schools program
G. Outreach to Playwrights Centers (Minneapolis, Chicago, New York) to discuss possible playwright exchange program
H. Continue and build relationships with local Carolina playwrights groups

II. BRING PLAYWRIGHTS TOGETHER AROUND STATE

A. Hold roundtable(s) co-sponsored by NCAC/NCTC
B. Writing workshop for playwrights (possibly co-sponsored by NCWN)!
C. Continue quarterly electronic newsletter and monthly information updates
D. Establish playwright mentorship program
E. Day-long event headlined by noted playwright along with workshops for playwrights

III. BUILD & STABILIZE THE ORGANIZATION

A. Build membership
B. Finalize by-laws/acquire non-profit status
C. Increase member involvement with organization (and Board)
D. Develop Board operating handbook including description of position responsibilities
E. Form an Advisory Committee

IV. PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES

A. Produce Play Slam!
B. Participate in NCTC 2005 Theatre Festival
C. Present readings in collaboration with various statewide arts groups
