Former College president (Dr.) Lynn Veach Sadler has many publications/awards in academics, fiction, drama, and poetry. The Temple Theater received the North Carolina Arts Council New Works grant and the Paul Green Foundation New Play Award for Gnat. Sassing the Spinx was commissioned for the First International Frost Symposium. Half-Formed Angels... received a Panelist's Choice Award at the Albee Last Frontier Theatre Conference (2000) and won the Gilbert Theater's one-act competition (2000).
