June Guralnick is the author of 9 full length plays performed at venues including the Kennedy Center, New Federal Theatre (NYC), Southern Appalachian Repertory Theatre, and the NC Museum of Art.  June has also worked as a theatre director, and has, additionally, received various commissions to create cultural outreach projects with a diversity of communities in the U.S.  Awards and grants include the National Endowment for the Arts New Forms grant, the North Carolina Arts Council Literature Fellowship, Southern Appalachian Repertory Theatre's national new plays contest winner, Canadian Embassy grant, Piedmont Regional Artist grant, and Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation: America Creates for the Millennium Finalist.
