Debra Kaufman's plays have been produced at the Carrboro ArtsCenter, Greensboro Playwright's forum, Duke University, UCLA, and included in the NC Touring Ensemble's productions. She has published three books of poetry: Family of Strangers, Still Life Burning, and A Certain Light and is a founding member of the Black Socks poetry group. She live in Mebane, North Carolina.
